Who Are We?

In response to the alarming rise in youth involvement in knife crime in Liverpool, our charity is dedicated to reversing this trend by empowering young individuals. We provide mentorship, engaging workshops, and opportunities to explore career paths aligned with their interests. Our goal is to inspire and equip youth with the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to build positive futures, steering them away from violence and towards constructive contributions to their communities.

Our commitment lies in addressing the underlying issues that contribute to youth violence, offering long-term solutions that create safer, more supportive environments for young people to thrive. We recognize that each young person is an individual with unique talents and potential, and our programs are designed to nurture these qualities to help them realize their full potential.

The Challenge

Liverpool has experienced significant challenges with knife-related incidents among young people. In 2020, Merseyside Police recorded 1,218 violence with injury offences committed by individuals under 18. Furthermore, between July 2010 and June 2021, over 1,000 knife-related convictions and cautions were issued to children in Merseyside, with 83 occurring in the year leading up to June 2021. These figures highlight the pressing need for effective interventions and support systems to address the rise in youth violence within the community.

Knife crime has a far-reaching impact, affecting not only the young people involved but also their families, schools, and communities. We are committed to tackling this issue at its root by offering positive alternatives and guidance to youth, showing them that there are other ways to navigate their challenges.

MISSION

Our mission is to reduce youth involvement in knife crime and violence by providing a comprehensive suite of programs designed to foster personal growth, skill development, and long-term success. We offer a wide range of workshops aimed at teaching young people essential life skills, vocational skills, and emotional resilience. These programs focus on key areas such as communication, conflict resolution, teamwork, and emotional intelligence—skills that are crucial for personal growth and positive interaction with others. Through one-on-one and group mentorship, we connect young individuals with experienced mentors who serve as role models and guides. Mentors provide valuable insights into life choices, career opportunities, and personal development. This supportive relationship helps youth overcome personal challenges.

VISION

Our vision is a future where young people in Liverpool no longer turn to violence as a means of coping with their challenges. We aspire to create a city where all youth are given the opportunities, guidance, and support to achieve their dreams and contribute positively to their communities. Through our initiatives, we aim to build a society where youth violence is significantly reduced, and every young person has access to a pathway to success. We see a future where young individuals grow up in a safe, supportive environment, free from the influence of crime, and empowered to make positive contributions to society. By breaking the cycle of violence and offering opportunities for personal and professional growth, we hope to create a generation of leaders, role models, and active citizens who will shape a brighter future for Liverpool and beyond.
